Through free online one-on-one tutoring, Kid By Kid Middle and High School student volunteers (Tutors/Mentors) work with under-served Elementary and Middle School-aged immigrant, refugee, and ESL students (Learners) to provide life-changing academic opportunity, support, and assistance.

Immigrant and refugee children face not only the academic and social issues confronting all children, but they face this struggle within the lens of a new culture and language. Often schools, parents and families have limited experience and resources to assist them in this journey. These children’s unique needs and challenges often remain unaddressed by mismatched programs or worse, no program support at all. COVID-19 and distance learning has stretched limited options even further. In the past, most dedicated tutoring programs were limited to adult tutors; ignoring the greatest resource our community has to offer, fellow kids. The Middle and High School Student Tutor Volunteers of Kid By Kid are striving to make a difference. We at Kid By Kid are change-makers in our community - we invite you to learn more and join our cause!
